Thats an interesting survey you linked. I wish there were more than “this or that” options that would give you more or less points and thus be more accurate.
I scored a 17, though I personally don’t feel or view myself as narcissistic. I did like how they broke it down into categories though. I scored highest in Authority, then self sufficiency and mid superiority and exhibitionism. No exploitative score and very low on vanity and entitlement.
Maybe I’m bias, but seems like a spread that is good for someone that wants to be able to get shit done quickly, efficiently, and make a name for themselves. As an artist/designer, I can go with that.

Yeah, somehow I got out of that childhood relatively intact. I’m not really sure how. I do have my nutty moments IRL, but I really should be much crazier than I am. ,-) Being a good parent to my own kids is a tremendous motivator though.
I cosign Jackie is amazing how you overcame that. You and Jesus lately had come out with having shitty mothers. I really wish that never happened to anyone. Sadly not all my wishes come true :(

I like the eugenics angle on this – “Don’t breed with narcissists.” That, at least, could potentially happen.
On the other hand, “Don’t sleep with narcissists” seems unfeasible. I have a hard time picturing a future where girls actively ignore their evolutionarily-selected tingles in favor of, say, humility and moderate confidence. Even a carefully orchestrated social-shaming scheme would still have too many cheaters, and even without cheaters, the hottest girls would mostly select Dark Triad menfolk.
Frankly, suggesting women moderate that instinct would be like asking men not to screw hot bitches. It’s actually pretty analogous – it isn’t hard to convince a man not to date hot bitches long-term, but asking him not to screw them is a tall order if he has that option available. What can I say, as a species, humans are not so far above apes as we like to tell ourselves.
