Old Workflows Running

 
Old Workflows running instead of newly modified ones
After making changes to workflows, the old workflow still runs, or even and older version still starts running:

Restart the SharePoint Timer service

  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Services.

  2. In the Services (Local) pane, right-click SharePoint Timer Service, and then click Restart.
