About TrainTrack

 
TrainTrack is a generic tool that can be used by any industry that needs a simple system to, at the very least:
  1. Log the roles in the organisation, and the people in them
  2. Log the quals and competencies attached to each role
  3. Log the quals and competencies attached to each person
  4. Check the gaps between 2 and 3 above, and the actions you will take to eliminate those gaps

As regards actions you might take, standard drop down options include:

  • If the role is vacant, then succession planning and recruitment, orientation and training.
  • If there is someone in the role, and the gap is small, then typically, further training.
  • If there is someone in the role, and the gap is too large, then perhaps it's time to start negotiating an alternative role.
